Booking projects for Q4 2026

Fixed-scope IT projects for teams without an IT department

Startups outgrow their IT long before they hire for it. Wasatch runs the projects a first IT hire would run — identity, devices, SaaS, service desk, and the software around them — as fixed-scope engagements with the price and the boundary agreed before anything starts.

Packages

Priced, and bounded, before the work starts

Every package states what it costs and where it stops. Open one to see what is included, what is not, and where it has been done before.

IT foundations

The systems every growing company ends up needing, set up once and documented.

Claude & MCP Integration

$6,500fixed

Up to 3 connected systems

The data answers questions itself.

Something else?

Migrations, office or site moves, vendor selection, an audit before a funding round, or a fractional IT lead on retainer. If it is IT and it has an end state, it can be scoped and priced the same way.

How it works

Four steps, no surprises

The reason IT projects go sideways is almost never the technology. It is that nobody agreed what “done” meant before the work started.

  1. Scoping call

Forty-five minutes, no charge. What you run, what is breaking, and what the next twelve months look like.

  2. Fixed proposal

Scope, price, timeline and the boundary in writing before anything starts. No hourly meter, no surprise invoice.

  3. Build

Remote and async by default, with one standing checkpoint a week so you are never guessing at status.

  4. Handover

Documentation and runbooks written for the person who inherits it — including if that person is not technical.

Credentials

Who is doing the work

Wasatch is Sheldon Tanis. Twelve years running IT operations — most recently as IT Director at a national health company, and before that eleven years at Wayfair, moving from engineer to Global Senior Engineering Manager.

That means the projects above are not theory. They are things already delivered inside organisations where they had to keep working on Monday.

  • 22,000+endpoints managed and patched
  • 500+SaaS applications audited
  • 25+applications brought under SSO
  • 12years running IT operations

FAQ

The questions that come up first

What happens if we go over the scope cap?
Nothing, until you agree to it. Every package states its boundary up front. If your estate is bigger, you get the overage rate before the work starts — never as a line on an invoice afterwards.
Do you work remotely?
Remote-first, and most of this work is better done that way. Based in Utah on Mountain Time, with onsite along the Wasatch Front by arrangement.
Do you resell software?
No. There are no commissions and no vendor relationships steering the recommendation, so if the answer is that your current tool is fine, that is the answer you get. Licensing is bought by you, directly.
Do you use AI to build this work?
Yes, and openly. AI tooling is why a website build takes two weeks instead of two months. What you are paying for is the judgement about what to build and the accountability for it working — the code is yours either way.
What happens when the project ends?
You get the documentation, the runbooks, and the repository. Ongoing support is available on a separate retainer, but nothing is built to require it.
How soon can you start?
Usually within two weeks of a signed proposal. Current availability is at the top of the page.
How do we pay?
Half at kickoff, half at handover, invoiced against net-15 terms.
